2019's United Nations Climate Change Conference - COP25 - left many global environmental activists and some governments disappointed. The longest conference on record ended two days after the scheduled closing - without agreements on improved carbon markets. COP25 had two key targets - the first - to have parties commit to higher carbon reduction goals; and the second being commitments to adaptation and mitigation finances for the developing world. Major polluters such as Brazil, China and the United States frustrated talks which ended in minimum compromise and ultimately a loss for the developing world. Noma Bolani compiled this report.
