With Premier Kenney ripping government supports programs from education to healthcare, laying off teachers, adding educational costs to already stressed out parents, clawing back healthcare supports for seniors and the disabled, adopting practices that were more 1919 than 2019. Chipping away so many aspects of gains in human rights and threatening hard working Albertans who are barely keeping their head above water. For those who know the political history of this province we are being fast tracked back to the days of forced institutionalization for the disabled, back to the days where education was more available to families with good income streams, removing previous funding to local governments which increases the local tax burden for those particular residence, clawing back previously negotiated wages for nurse, teacher and other healthcare provider. Introducing policies that tell doctors how to "practice" medicine and the list goes on. In all of this chaos Kenney continues to cancel supports for any industry that isn't related to the oil industry. While he removes supports for the marginalized he pumps BILLIONS into subsidies and public relations offices designed to benefit the 80's oil boom mentality. This is the same man who, in his university days, was gleeful in his TV interview over the fact that he had been successful in blocking dying aids patient in San Francisco (1989) from having access to their loved ones. This is the same guy who, when in federal politics, forced the federal equalization payments (from feds to province), down the throats of every Premier in Canada and is now screaming "poverty" and how unfair it is to Alberta. Meanwhile he has aides running around the world submitting $20,000 expense claims paid on tax dollars. Yes I have reached my limit...
