Presented in Orlando, Florida, the ANESTHESIOLOGY Journal Symposium featured two plenary lectures related to advancing care and improving outcomes of the geriatric surgical patient. “The Coalition for Quality in Geriatric Surgery” was presented by Ronnie Rosenthal, M.D., M.S., Department of Surgery, Yale University School of Medicine, New Haven, Connecticut, and “Preserving Brain Health in Older Adults Undergoing Surgery” by Charles H. Brown IV, M.D., Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Baltimore, Maryland. Following the presentations, 11 research abstracts were presented orally.
