Wind Power Zone: Using wind energy to power the North Tony Quinn, Director of Testing and Validation at ORE Catapult, gives his presentation. This session considers the central role of wind power as a source of renewable power in the North of England. Whilst primarily focusing on the large scale offshore wind projects, it also discusses on-shore and smaller scale opportunities. It looks at key policy issues including the recent Sector Deal and asked what more needs to be done and what other sectors can learn form its success. The session was chaired by Andrew Hodgson, Chair of the North East LEP.
