On Friday November 22nd the Alberta government announced it is investing $7 million for continuing care in Drumheller. Seniors and Housing Minister Josephine Pon announced the funding at the Hillview seniors' lodge in Drumheller alongside Drumheller-Stettler MLA Nate Horner, Drumheller Mayor Heather Colberg and Cllr Tom Zariski, Chair of the Drumheller and District Seniors Foundation. The renovation of the Sunshine and Hillview lodges will accommodate 26 new continuing care living spaces, which provide different levels of care and flexible options for seniors, as their health care needs change. That includes health care services of varying levels, from care aides and on-site nursing care, to specialized dementia care.
