All around the world, sea levels are rising and oceans are becoming warmer. Longer and more intense droughts are threatening crops, wildlife and freshwater creatures. From polar bears in the Arctic to marine turtles off the coast of Africa, our planet's diversity of life is at risk from the changing climate. In Vietnam, the country is rated one of the half dozen countries most vulnerable to climate change. Almost 40 percent of the Mekong Delta, the country's breadbasket, could be underwater by the end of the century. Rian Maelzer visited the country to find out how drought and salinity have affected the livelihoods of farmers and local communities. According to the UN, glaciers in Nepal are melting and this has created huge lakes that are likely to burst and flood the valleys below. Tony Cheng took up an invitation by the UN to ride on a chopper going up to a glacier lake in the Himalayas. His aim is to examine global warming by looking at how lakes are threatening to burst their banks and engulf large parts of the landlocked South Asian country.
