What is Qingming Festival? Chinese people believe that family ancestors are just like us, in that we all have needs. During Pure Brightness Festival, also called 清明 or 清明(节) [ qīng míng jié ], Chinese people visit the graves of the dead, pay respect, sweep the tombs and give offerings to family ancestors.
