It can be a PRO because, people are familiar with the name and generally equate it to a company they can trust because of the company's long track record and history. Now it can be a CON because, SO many people market it and have done so for years... a lot of people have simply become somewhat "numb" to it. What I mean is, sometimes people see/hear "Avon" and think, "Oh that's my mother or grandmother's products. They won't have anything *I* like. That's for "old" people." And that, of course, depends on who your target market is. If your target audience is the younger generation of people (I guess in their 30's or younger) then that may be a challenge. However, if your target audience IS that mom or that grandma, then it might be an easier 'sell'.. So... if you are marketing to that younger generation, how do you get THEM to want your products?
