Lauren created this look for holiday party season because it marries a shimmery neutral eye with a bold lip. The key to creating the metallic brown smokey eye is the Avon True Color Eyeshadow Quad in Chocolate Sensation. Lauren starts by applying the #3 shade to the eyelid, stopping at the crease. Next, Lauren uses the #2 shade from the quad and uses a blending brush to apply the shadow in the crease and up to the brow bone. After the shadows are blended, Lauren then uses the #4 shade of the quad on the outer corners of the upper lash line in a triangle shape. “Taking your time to blend is what gives you that great smokey effect,” Lauren says. The next step is to take the #3 shade from the True Color Eyeshadow Quad in Chocolate Sensation and with a wet brush, apply to the lower lash line. Then, using the #1 shade from the quad, go back and highlight the inner corners of the eye and under the brow bone. Lauren then uses Glimmersticks eye liner in Cosmic Brown on both the upper and lower lash lines and traces over the liner with the #3 shade from the quad for a smokey effect. To finish the eyes Lauren applies Avon Big & False Lash Mascara for a voluminous look, starting with the top lashes. Without applying more mascara to the applicator, Lauren then gently applies the mascara to the lower lashes. For the cheeks, Lauren uses Avon Ideal Luminous Blush in Classic Aura to define the cheek bones. To add some sparkle, she uses the #1 eye shadow color from the Avon True Color Eyeshadow Quad on top of the blush. For the lip, Lauren starts with Glimmersticks lip liner in Brick Red to line the lips and fill them, which will give you a longer lasting lip look perfect for holiday party season.
