Download the free guide that goes into more detail and some bonus features here: www.curiousthemes.com/google-analytics-reports-opt-in Google Analytics is a free online software that lets you better understand the traffic coming to your site. You embed their code on your site then get detailed reports of how people are find you online and how they are using your website. We aren’t going to go through setting up Google Analytics in this video but we do have a free guide you can download (www.curiousthemes.com/google-analytics-reports-opt-in) to see how to set it up plus all the reports we are going through now. Overall there is a lot of information in Google Analytics dashboards and a lot of people can find it very overwhelming however you only need to understand a little bit of the information to make a big impact on your site and inform your decisions moving forward. By looking at these 5 top reports I’m about to show you, you can easily see the health of your site and any edits that need to be made to improve your site’s performance. • Audience Overview Report: Click on audience in the left-hand menu then overview. Overall view of your site’s traffic, type of customers, bounce rate and average session duration. • Mobile Performance Report: Click on Audience- Mobile- Overview. You want to make sure your site is designed and optimized for smaller screens. You will have a higher bounce rate on mobile devices but if it’s very high then it may mean that your site isn’t working correctly and you are losing people. • Audience Behavior Report: Click on Audience- Behavior- New vs Returning. Having new visitors is a great sign but having returning customers is even better because they are more likely to purchase from you. You should also see a longer session duration for returning visitors. • Traffic Acquisition Report: Click on Acquisition then Overview. This report will show you where your traffic is actually coming from and how they are finding you. • Site Pages Report: Click on Behavior - Site Content then Landing Page or Exit Page. This will show you which pages are performing best and which pages people are leaving your site on the most. The best part about all these reports is that you can automatically send them to yourself daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly. We aren’t going to go through the steps in this video however we have instructions on how to setup your reports to automatically email to you plus how to setup goal conversions for tracking sales over time in the free guide here- www.curiousthemes.com/google-analytics-reports-opt-in We hope you have found this list of key reports helpful but remember that the key thing to keep in mind is you don’t have to spend hours every week trying to understand your numbers. Just 15-20 min per week is all you need to set aside to better understand your site’s traffic and set goals for yourself on how to improve upon it. -- Still need to set up your online store? 😥 Learn how to set up your Shopify store in just ONE weekend with our online class: www.curiousthemes.com/shopify-in-a-weekend 👉 Subscribe for daily Shopify tutorials and behind the scenes videos of our Shopify store: www.youtube.com/c/curiousthemes?sub_confirmation=1 🔻🔻🔻 Check out our TOTALLY FREE Guides on Growing your Shopify Store 🔻🔻🔻 www.curiousthemes.com/free-guides 👍 Follow Us Online 👍 • Our Website: www.curiousthemes.com • Facebook: www.facebook.com/curiousthemes • Pinterest: www.pinterest.com/curiousthemes
