ec.europa.eu/transport/road_safety/index_en.htm January 2013 will see the introduction of a European driving licence as part of the entry into force of the third EU Driving Licence Directive. The new credit-card style format will replace some 100 paper and plastic models currently in use by more than 300 million drivers across the EU.
