I am Edafe Okporo, I was born in Warri, Nigeria, and I currently reside in New York City. I’m a writer and my memoir, BED26 was published in 2018. I am a communicator and the Executive Director of RDJ Refugee Shelter In Harlem. I self identify as a gay man which led to my displacement in 2016. I am now a refugee of the United States of America.
