GLSEN’s Day of Silence is a student-led protest calling attention to the harmful effects of anti-LGBTQ harassment and discrimination in K-12 schools. Everywhere you look students are demonstrating the power of youth organizing. Now in its 24th year, hundreds of thousands of students are once again organizing the Day of Silence to demand that school officials take action to improve the educational experience of LGBTQ students.
