Dr Peter Campbell, Head of Cancer, Ageing and Somatic Mutation at the Wellcome Sanger Institute, describes new insights found through investigations into liver cancer and lung cancer conducted as part of the Mutographs project. Dr Campbell is leading work area 5 within the Mutographs project, establishes how the information in DNA signatures can be used to understand cancer development. #Mutographs2019, the annual meeting of the Mutographs project, was held on 11-12 July 2019 at the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), Lyon, France.
