I also painted the backgrounds, coloring each frame, compositing, working with the composer, and last minute sound design, all within 3 months. It is drawn frame by frame. I had a hard time drawing humans to begin with, so it took me a long time to just figure out the poses/animatics of the boy's animation... But I had a lot of fun with animating the beast! Honestly I tried to take on some animation that I think was above both my skill level and the time limit at the time. We form the film from just stuff in our imagination to this finished product within 6~7 months time. Thank you for watching!
