The adidas film ‘Create The New Speed,’ via agency 72andSunny, celebrates those who challenge the status quo and reach for new heights, including high school football players who take the field – and the Internet – by a storm. Shot and edited to capture the YouTube as-it-happens spirit, and featuring ultimate real world plays by the real non actor Los Angeles-based rising football stars, the film speaks to young, sport-loving audiences through the lens of football, creativity and speed. “Director Eliot Rausch and DP Evan Prosofsky filmed the project with intentional grittiness as if shot by teenagers for an online highlights reel. The creative challenge was to essentially shed all classic film training so that the edit would authentically match the vibe of the film – unpolished, authentic, and rapid fire.
