"Spaceship Betta Fish Tank" I like to explore science and so are my twin daughters I have a big plastic bottle and I want to make it a simple and fun DIY project: spaceship fish tank for my twin daughters to handle on his own a big plastic bottle 19 L may serve as a small fish tank. What if we turn it upside-down? The fish poop will accumulate on the bottom in the narrow part of the bottle. And we can attach a tube at the bottom to make it easier to clean the aquarium Wash clean and dry the plastic bottle Use a hot soldering iron to cut a hole about 1 cm Insert the tube through the hole inside of the bottle and seal the hole by silicone. The size of the tube should be at least 10 - 15 cm longer than the bottle. Cut 3 ellipses on top of the bottle body and cut off the bottom part of the bottle. use foam to create legs and caps Put one rocks inside of the fish tank. Add some aquatic plant Fill up the fish tank with water. Let the water settle for 24 hours or at least overnight before you populate the fish tank with fish The volume of this aquarium is 17 liters ideal for raising a Betta fish; Betta fish are able to withstand the cramped habitats and do not need aeration thanks to fish having respiratory organs. The tank has a lid, static water, low light with some aquatic plants and floating plants. Betta fish love static water, so they are not suitable for oxygen tanks or filters. When the time comes to clean up the fish poop from the bottom of the aquarium, all you need slowly lower the tube below water level of the aquarium. Fish droppings under the bottle will follow the water pipe flowing out.
