Rutgers University President Robert Barchi made a formal apology to students, the Scarlett Knights men's basketball team and the LGBT community at a news conference Friday, following the termination of head coach Mike Rice. Barchi also announced that the school's athletic director Tim Pernetti submitted his resignation.
