Selecting the best mattress for you. Hey everyone thanks for clicking on the link.Today im going to talk about the 5 most important things to look for when shopping for a mattress. Ok number one, you want to make sure you are looking for a mattress that is double-sided. As soon as you walk into a sow room you should ask the sales staff please show me the beds you have in a double sided model. You want to be able to flip and rotate your bed. Now this is gonna make your last longer, it's gonna wear more evenly, and its gonna last for a longer period of time. Plus it's not only healthier for the bed it's healthier for you. Number two, transparency matters. Now when you're in a show room they should show you whats in their bed. Basically have cut outs showing the materials in your mattress. I wouldn't take the sales staff word for it. There is a law label, I know we've all made the jokes that you're not allowed to remove the law label. It's at the end of your mattress usually at the head of the bed and it will describe exactly what the ingredients are in you mattress. Number three, you want to look for quality materials. Look anyone can take egg crate foam and stack it on some springs, put a cover over it and call it a mattress, but that isn't what it really takes to make a mattress. You want to look for materials like cotton, latex, wool. You want to make sure they aren't using chemicals as a fire-retardant. And also there nothing really wrong with foam, but it should be a soy based foam not a petroleum. You don't need to be sleeping on things that will be off gassing. Number four take your time. Now when you're in the show room, I want you to not feel pressured or rushed and before you start laying on beds, you should have a conversation with the sales staff and explain to them what you don't like about your current night's sleep, what's your problem with your current mattress. Now when you do find two or three beds to try out be on a bed from 10- 15 minutes. Here is the thing we never truly relax when we are in a show room, okay , we're in a showroom there's people around it's never gonna be like it's at home when you're alone, so take a few minutes to allow your body to adjust and move around and lay on the bed you would in your natural sleep position. Number five shop by the feel not the deal. And what I mean by that is just because a small shirt would be on sale doesn't mean it would be a good fit for me, Yeah i'd be saving some money, but i'd be really uncomfortable in that tight little shirt and the people around me would be pretty uncomfortable too. So what I want you to do is to go in and find the bed that you like. Now when we talk about comfort I want you to find comfort that is to you body and also to your wallet. You don't want to get home at night and be like ugh I spent way too much money. There is always different options in all different types of show rooms and the sales staff should always be willing to show those to you. Please don't be fooled by "fifty percent off sales!" Nothing is really fifty percent off. What they do is mark up the price to two thousand and they can say it's fifty percent off and they are selling it for a thousand. They have always wanted to sell the bed at a thousand dollars. The best way to buy is to buy from the manufacturer itself. So those are my five tips on how to buy a mattress.
