izzotacticalcombat.com/brucelee/ www.facebook.com/izzotacticalcombat www.twitter.com/dominickizzo Since the video came out, the end of November, it has had over 300,000 views and over 6,000 comments, most of which are that of, "you suck, Bruce Lee could kick your ass." I couldn't understand how I generated such comments when I was articulating with a non emotional tone of why I do not like the Bruce Lee brand that is him. Then I saw today why... According to analytics, at the 1:53 mark where I state, "I do not like Bruce Lee" 57% of the viewers STOP WATCHING and make their comments. I have another 12 minutes of video going into the WHY. So, they form their opinions on one sentence... Interesting... This video title is a reflection of "Bruce Lee" as a brand and the following he created who blindly follow his works and words without truly knowing what he meant. When people tell me to talk to men like Demille, Innosanto, Glover, etc...they are just as biased due to the fact they were Bruce Lee's students. Bruce Lee was not a fighter. He was an actor and an amazingly charismatic man. I give him full credit for bringing attention to the martial arts, however not to Wing Chun. His words, published after his death in the Tao of Jeet Kune Do, have spawn a misunderstanding of Wing Chun considering Bruce Lee's limited knowledge of Wing Chun at the time. Bruce Lee's works are just as the Bible are...open to interpretation, however that does not mean Bruce Lee was a god as his fans seem to make him out to be. This in an opinion and I hold to it just as strongly as the Bruce Lee fans hold on to theirs. Most Bruce Lee fans have a poor exposure to Wing Chun due to the way it has been taught the last 30 years and have not been able to form a solid opinion about the art because of so. If Bruce Lee's Wing Chun training had not been interrupted, he would have seen that all he was searching for was in Wing Chun. Jeet Kune Do does not exist past the emotional mind of Bruce Lee and disappeared upon his death. Chief Instructor / Officer Dominick Izzo talks about Martial Arts in 2013, Bruce Lee, Ip Man and the misconception that Wing Chun Kung Fu has limitations. Topics include William Cheung, Wong Shun Leung, Leung Ting, Duncan, Leung, Ip Chun, Ip Ching. Hawkins Cheung and other contributing factors to the myth that Wing Chun needed to evolve and thus JKD was born. For more information on Wing Chun in Chicago, visit www.izzotacticalcombat.com
