Serbian Television Toronto is a weekly half hour Serbian television program showcasing current events serving the interests of the Canadian-Serbian diaspora throughout the GTA. The program profiles numerous topics such as portraits of successful Serbians in Canada, interviews with Canadian politicians and journalists, folk and popular culture, sports, religion, as well as business at the national and community level. Serbian Television Toronto also features coverage of academic topics, contemporary music, as well as fashion, short films, plays and art created by Canadian artists with a Serbian background. In addition, selected current affairs/news programming footage from Serbia is included to keep viewers abreast of homeland events, interests and perspectives. Some of the segments are aired in English, which permits the Serbian heritage, culture and tradition to be presented widely to Canadian born citizens with a Serbian background, as well as different viewers from different cultural backgrounds. Serbian Television Toronto is an independent TV show, that Viktor Ristic and Mia Ristic are continuing in memory of its founder, and their late father, Blagoja Ristic, who was a producer of a long running and successful Serbian television programs called Parallel Vision on Rogers TV and Serbian Television Canada on OMNI TV. Serbian Television Toronto airs on alternate Saturdays at 12 pm on Rogers TV, channels 10, 63 and in HD 510. The repeats of the show (only in Toronto) air on alternate Wednesdays at 3 am and alternate Fridays at 6:30 pm, following the original broadcast. Serbian Television Toronto is uploaded on its web site www.SerbianTelevision.TV on alternate Sundays, following the original Saturdays’ broadcast.
