Working with STLs, Meshmixer and Fusion 360

Have you ever needed quickly clean up 3D scan geometry? Have you ever wanted to merge two models into one? Have you ever needed to edit a model that wasn't in a solid modeling format like STEP, SLDPRT or F3D? Sure you have! Fusion 360 does a lot of stuff really well, but it's never been great at and manipulating triangle mesh data or STL files - until now! Fusion 360 has a sister tool called Meshmixer. It's really good at manipulating triangle meshes. You can refine, sculpt, push and pull surfaces into malleable shapes in a unique workflow that nicely compliments all the other flexible and diverse ways Fusion lets you model. In this video Fusion Evangelist Mike Aubry gives an extended overview of Meshmixer from the perspective of a Fusion 360 user. He demonstrates three workflows where he refines mesh data for consumption in Fusion, sends Fusion data to meshmixer for further refinement, and then discusses the merits (and viability) of tweaking mesh data he finds on Thingiverse. ► Download Meshmixer for free today: meshmixer.com/ ► Get Fusion 360 | autode.sk/11CfIDv SUBSCRIBE | autode.sk/11vxXeD FACEBOOK | autode.sk/19jII5A TWITTER | autode.sk/19jIJXc
