D4GX 2018: Sustainable Finance: Leveraging Capital for Gender Equality & Climate Change Response

submitted by saltalberta on 01/04/19 1

Already, more than $23 trillion has been allocated by investors globally to investment strategies that collectively are termed sustainable, responsible and impact investments - approximately 1 out of every 2 invested dollars in Europe and 1 in every 5 dollars in the U.S. This category is growing far faster than mainstream investing as institutional investors and millennials press investment managers to take into account sustainable management of emerging global risks and opportunities, such as climate risk, resource constraints, gender equity and rapid urbanization. Frameworks for reporting and using data have emerged to structure new investment vehicles, help identify aligned investments and guide investors on consideration of these factors as a part of fundamental financial analysis. Starting with an introduction to the topic and investment themes, this session brings together Bloomberg's data and analytical assets with those of Bloomberg clients and partner organizations. Presenters: Lenora Suki, Head of Sustainable Finance Product Strategy, Bloomberg Arun Verma, Head of Quantitative Research Solutions, Bloomberg Madison England, Project Manager, Gender-Equality Index, Bloomberg Bobby Shackleton, Maps Business Manager, Bloomberg Learn more about the Data for Good Exchange at www.bloomberg.com/d4gx. #d4gx
