Ageing in Australia: The Immigrant Experience provides a rare insight into the experiences of older Australians from migrant backgrounds. Four people from four different ethnic backgrounds share their life journeys in Australia together with thoughts, feelings, hopes and fears about the challenges of ageing in this country. Designed as an educational tool for aged care and related service providers, the production covers a range of themes and issues aimed at raising awareness with a view to enhancing the delivery of culturally inclusive care. The DVD is produced by the Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing, who supports the aged care sector address the needs of elderly people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. The Centre also supports people from migrant communities better understand the aged care services that are available in Australia.
