I probably heard this song at the 1998 Somerville Winter Folk Festival, at the Somerville Theater, in Somerville, MA. It was a big night for me: my first exposure to Peter Mulvey, Moxy Fruvous, and Jim's Big Ego, as well as Jess Klein, who seemed adorably giddy at playing to such a huge room, especially when she got us all singing along. Anyway, here's me and Kai Stewart singing it with a mandola and an orange, for Theme Music's "Birdsongs" week.
