Restaurant Impossible 'The Cap'n and the Cowboy' Follow-Up

After a visit from Chef Robert Irvine and Restaurant Impossible, life changed for Restaurant Owner Nick Scaringella and his girlfriend Tamar LiCalzi. The Cap'n and the Cowboy restaurant was featured on the Wednesday September 28, 2011 episode of the popular Food Network 'Reality Show' Restaurant Impossible, and since then the food is better, and the focus has been on improving sales and satisfying guests to their Port Charlotte, Florida Restaurant. Sales have increased too, as Chef Irvine and his team added a new bar area to the restaurant and helped guide Chef Nick on improving many items including their now famous 'Crab Cakes'. In addition to the new bar, The Cap'n and the Cowboy has an entire new bar and custom beverage program designed by BarMechanics.com including signature cocktails, a fresh and affordable wine list and even delicious confectionery cocktails. Service and beverage seminars along with a Martini List, Cocktail and Wine list were conducted and designed by Larry 'Smokey' Genta, and in this recent visit by BeverageUnderground.com , Smokey drops by to follow-up on The Cap'n & The Cowboy. Both Nick and Tamar who continue to work hard to build the restaurant, are smiling more these days with the guidance of restaurant and bar professionals. Food, Drinks, Service and Image have all improved and so have the numbers of regular and seasonal guests. Tamar invites Smokey to show off and try some of those Outrageous Cocktails, designed especially for The Cap'n and the Cowboy including the 'Yo Berry Cosmo', 'The Devil's Triangle' and 'Peace River Blues'. Smokey paired the luscious 100% Lump blue crab cakes with Peter Lehmann's Layers, a white wine blend of 5 Australian white varietals that blends and layers perfectly with the true flavor of these crab cakes. Nick Scaringella is the owner and chef The Capt'n and the Cowboy' who bought the neighborhood restaurant where he first started as a dishwasher over 17 years ago, and together with his girlfriend Tamar LiCalzi who has worked their 15 years, they operate the restaurant six days a week.
