I MOVED TO PARIS BY MYSELF AT 18

HI THERE HOW YOU DOING In case you didn't already know, I moved to Paris on my own for three months! I wanted to make a little video explaining why and how I did it. with love, elena @elenataber Come say hi: bit.ly/elenataber Here's a little excerpt I wrote about my journey over the last three months: Restlessness. That's what got me here. Alone. 5,674 miles away from any friends or family. I was bored of the mundanity of my day to day life and was hungry for adventure. I wanted to mix things up and so naturally, I decided to move to a foreign country on my own. I took a leave of absence from my university (but enrolled as a full time online student through a cc because you know...education is important...), bought a plane ticket, and arrived in Paris with no real plans or contacts. Three months later, I feel like I have changed immensely and am grateful to have amassed a life time of memories. It has been a struggle of learning to be completely independent as well as confident in exploring and traversing across a city by myself where I don't even speak the language. I knew no one, except for the family that I was staying with, and had no real way of meeting people but slowly made the raddest friends through the oddest of circumstances. I will forever be grateful for my time here and this leap into the unknown. I have completely fallen in love with this city and will miss it terribly but I will be back soon. Maybe restlessness isn't so bad after all. (please excuse the annoying black bars and my bed head) ((sorry the background music is weird af for like the first 2.5 minutes..)) p.s. FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS. SERIOUSLY. GO. DO IT NOW.
