Catching Brown Trout on the Little Red River

There’s a lot to love about late fall on Arkansas’ Little Red River. The tailwater fishery below Greers Ferry Dam harbors the state’s only population of wild brown trout that isn’t supplemented through the stocking of hatchery-raised browns. Each fall, those fish make their annual spawning run. And each fall, this group of fly fishermen awaits their arrival.
