Lisa Gade reviews HP’s new innovative and unusual 13.3” Windows 10 convertible Ultrabook, the HP Spectre Folio 13. The laptop is clad in chrome-tanned leather and underneath it has a magnesium alloy and aluminum frame and chassis. The notebook has Intel 8th Gen Y series Core i5 and i7 processors with performance similar to Intel 7th gen U series CPUs (this is the same CPU family used in the 2018 MacBook Air). It’s available with up to 16GB RAM, has a fast NVMe SSD, full HD and 4K display options, a backlit keyboard and pen + touch support (pen included). 4G LTE is optional. It competes with HP’s own Spectre x360 13”, the Microsoft Surface Pro 6 and the Lenovo Yoga C930.
