4TU.Lighthouse - Turtle - 3D-printed on a flexible mould

For the project "3D concrete printing on a flexible mould" TU Eindhoven and TU Delft collaborated to demonstrate a digital manufacturing workflow. The contours of all thin shell elements were 3d printed with a gantry robot at TU Eindhoven, the infill was cast afterwards. For the double-curved shape, a flexible mould and a CNC-milled mould were applied as printing underground. Project funded by 4TU.Bouw Lighthouse projects 2016.
