Stanley and Arlene Ginsburg Family Foundation Lecture Series September 29, 2015 Military robotics and cyber capabilities will permanently alter the nature of warfare, according to military historian Paul Springer. As the leader in the development of these technologies, the US has a unique opportunity to prevent the most negative consequences. In this talk, Springer explores the new technologies, their implications for the battlefield – and for civilian populations around the world – and what choices lie ahead for the United States in leading us away from the abyss. Springer, an FPRI Senior Fellow and Professor of Comparative Military History at the Air Command and Staff College, teaches courses on leadership, strategy, terrorism, and military history and is the author of books on military robots and drones, cyberwarfare, and U.S. military history. He has served as a consultant to the History Channel, the Discovery Channel, and the National Geographic Channel, and has been one of our most popular speakers in our military history conferences for teachers.
