On the 20th anniversary of NAFTA, the Peterson Institute for International Economics (PIIE), the Embassy of Mexico, and the McKinsey Global Institute cohosted a conference on July 15, 2014, to present new research challenging false claims and exaggerations about the agreement's harms. Adam S. Posen, president of PIIE, introduced the conference. Jaana Remes, McKinsey Global Institute, was the presenter for panel I, "Mexico's Progress--Growth and Prosperity in a Two-speed Economy"; discussants included Santiago Levy, Inter-American Development Bank and Angel Ubide, PIIE and D.
