The Peterson Institute for International Economics (PIIE) cohosted an event with the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) and the Institute of International Finance, Inc. (IIF) on April 8, 2014, to discuss the true value of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to the United States and to the world economy. Speakers for Panel 3, addressing IMF reforms, included Thomas Bernes (CIGI), Charles Collyns (IIF), Athanasios Orphanides (Central Bank of Cyprus), and Edwin M. Truman (PIIE). Adam S. Posen (PIIE) moderated the discussion and gave the closing remarks.
