The Peterson Institute for International Economics (PIIE) and the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) hosted the conference “The Plaza at 30” on April 7, 2016. C. Fred Bergsten, PIIE, chaired the session, which included panelists James M. Boughton, CIGI; Russell A. Green, Rice University's Baker Institute; Karen H. Johnson, former director of the Division of International Finance, Federal Reserve Board; and David Smick, Johnson Smick International Inc. and the International Economy magazine. The conference also marked the publication of the book "International Monetary Cooperation: Lessons from the Plaza Accord after Thirty Years," edited by C. Fred Bergsten and Russell A. Green.
