The Peterson Institute for International Economics (PIIE), along with the China Finance 40 Forum (CF-40), the noted independent economic think tank based in Beijing, host a panel discussion on "US-China Economic Relations in the New Era of Globalization" on June 8, 2017. CF-40 researcher Jiming Ha presents the Chinese perspective on creating a basis for US-China economic cooperation under the current US administration. PIIE senior fellows also present their recommendations: Joseph E. Gagnon on stability-oriented Chinese exchange rate policy, Chad P. Bown on US-China trade disputes, and Jeffrey Schott on Asia-Pacific regionalism. Copies of the report will be available at the event.
