Why is arts education important to early childhood development? The April 17, 2013 webinar looked at how federal agencies are using arts education to foster the well-being of the youngest populations. Representatives from Head Start and the Administration for Children and Families at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services discussed current efforts to incorporate arts education into programs for young children. The webinar also shared recent research that measures the school readiness of children involved in Head Start arts enrichment programs.
