Tavis Smiley, the host of PBS's “Tavis Smiley” and Public Radio International's “The Tavis Smiley Show,” recounts the story of his enduring friendship with Maya Angelou. Michel Martin, National Public Radio journalist, joins Smiley. Presented in partnership with the Smithsonian Museum of African American History and Culture. A book signing will follow.
