submitted by Marvin's Underground Evening Lectures on 10/11/18 1

In Eisenhower, a new and engaging biography of the 34th president, professor Louis Galambos discusses the career of Dwight D. Eisenhower and how, as America’s leader during a time of postwar changes, he sought to forge a consensus in Washington with compromise and coalition building. Under his leadership, he brought prosperity and peace to the American people in the dangerous years of the Cold War. A book signing follows the program.
