Bryan Hehir, Harvard Kennedy School Professor of the Practice of Religion and Public Life; Mary Jo Bane, Harvard Kennedy School Professor of Public Policy and Management; and Melinda Henneberger, political writer for The Washington Post and Joan Shorenstein Center on the Press, Politics and Public Policy Fellow for Spring 2013, discussed the recent election of Pope Francis and the future of the Catholic Church. The panelists addressed the scandals that have plagued the Church in the past decade, as well as the potential for the Church to grow and become more inclusive under the newly elected Pope.
