This hearing will examine Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) plans to meet its own internal staffing requirements, including efforts to recruit and hire qualified military veterans required by law. In addition, CBP and General Services Administration (GSA) will be asked to provide details on the prioritization of investments in port of entry infrastructure, which is vital to the efficient movement of people and goods, as well as to our nation’s homeland security.
