Jackie Speier talks with Colleen Shogan about her career and the harrowing story of her near-fatal experience as part of a congressional team that was attacked by members of the Peoples Temple in Jonestown, Guyana. Speaker Biography: Jackie Speier is the U.S. Representative for California's 14th congressional district, serving in Congress since 2008. She received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California at Davis, and a J.D. from UC Hastings College of the Law.
