The Local Costs of Global Goods: Pulitzer Fellows Report Recorded October 21, 2012 Award-winning journalist and documentarain Steve Sapienza, a grantee of the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, and Linda Qiu (AB '14), a Pulitzer student fellow, will discuss their reporting projects on the human impacts of mining and resource extraction. Sapienza will focus on the reporting he has done on illegal gold mining in Peru, and Qiu, an Environmental Studies/International Studies major in the College, will focus on what she learned this summer about the enviromental and human tolls of diamond mining in Botswana.
