She actively supports the "Women Against Sanctions, War and Militarization of Middle East" movement. Tehmina Kazi is director of British Muslims for Secular Democracy and her research focuses on human rights issues, particularly violence against women in South Asia. Leyla Hussein is a campaigner against FGM and violence against women and children. She is co-founder of Daughters of Eve and presented The Cruel Cut documentary.
