The legacy of the First World War has played a huge part in Britain’s national life and identity for almost one hundred years especially through Remembrance. He is the author of The English and their History, which is due to appear next month. Professor David Edgerton is Professor of the History and Philosophy of Science at King’s College London, and has written several prominent books on Britain’s military history. George Clay is a second year historian at Jesus College. Lieutenant General Sir Alastair Irwin served in the Armed Forces from 1970 until 2005, commanding a number of groups during that term. He is the President of the Royal British Legion for Scotland. Milo Yiannopoulos is a socially conservative journalist and entrepreneur. He has written for numerous publications, including Business Insider and Breitbart.com.
