The sex industry has split feminism and politics alike, with successive governments failing to legislate on it fully either way. Its activists, or 'sextremists', fight all manifestations of patriarchy, especially dictatorship, religion, and the sex industry. Josh Simons is a PPS finalist at St John's and former Editor of the Tab and Varisty. He spent the summer completing a piece of research into the sex industry and trafficking in India, to be published with the University in March. Imogen Sandler is a competitive debater at Christ Church, Oxford. She writes for WomCam Zine and ran an investigation on sex workers in Oxford. She is an Ex-President and founding member of the Christ Church Feminist Society.
