This lecture was part of a six-lecture series and 10-week exhibition, 'Magna Carta Through the Ages', celebrating the 800th Anniversary of the Sealing of Magna Carta. It was made possible through the generous support of the Heritage Lottery Fund, Bank of American Merrill Lynch, The Headley Trust, the Ruddock Foundation for the Arts and the Magna Carta 800th Anniversary Committee.
