Kenneth Sams, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill; Nick Cahill, University of Wisconsin, Madison, Director of Excavations, Sardis “King Midas and the Lydians?”; Kaan Iren, Muğla University, Director of Excavations at Daskyleion “New Investigations at the Multicultural Center of Daskyleion” International scholars and archaeological excavation directors exploring Phrygian culture found at Gordion and other sites around Turkey come together for a scholarly conference funded by the Office of the Provost University of Pennsylvania Research Council, the School of Arts and Sciences, the Center for Ancient Studies, the Penn Museum, the Graduate Group in the Art and Archaeology of the Mediterranean World, and the departments of Anthropology, Classical Studies, History of Art, and Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations.
