Rose, Charles Williams, Nicolo Marchetti, University of Bologna, Director of Excavations at Carchemish "Carchemish during the Bronze and Iron Ages: New results by the Turco-Italian Archaeological Expedition" International scholars and archaeological excavation directors exploring Phrygian culture found at Gordion and other sites around Turkey come together for a scholarly conference funded by the Office of the Provost University of Pennsylvania Research Council, the School of Arts and Sciences, the Center for Ancient Studies, the Penn Museum, the Graduate Group in the Art and Archaeology of the Mediterranean World, and the departments of Anthropology, Classical Studies, History of Art, and Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations.
