Frederick Douglass Family Initiatives kicked off its "One Million Abolitionists Project" where the organization leaders presents copies of Douglass' first autobiography to one million students. Published in 1845, "Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass: An American Slave" was Douglass's first and most popular autobiography and contradicted the racist mythology promoted by the business of slavery and helped turn the tide toward emancipation. Frederick Douglass Family Initiatives is an abolitionist organization co-founded by direct descendants of Frederick Douglass and Booker T. Washington. Speaker Biography: Robert J.
