Did you know spiders are NOT insects? Insects have 6 legs. Spiders have 8! Spiders actually like to EAT insects. Most spiders make webs using silk they make themselves. And they don’t have to go to school to learn how - they are born knowing all about how to build webs and catch insects to eat. Some people are VERY afraid of spiders. We call this ARACHNOPHOBIA. But don’t worry - Itsy Bitsy is a very nice spider. Come say hello! SPIDER ACTIVITY IDEA: You can make a spider out of pipe cleaners! Remember to give your spider 8 fuzzy legs.
